Kauniste fabrics are made in Europe, from spinning the yarns and weaving the fabric to printing and sewing the final products. We favour natural fibres and carefully chosen materials.
Our signature fabric combines linen and cotton, bringing together the characteristic texture of linen with the practicality of cotton.
The fabric is woven and printed in a factory using renewable energy. Water used in the printing process is filtered and recirculated back into production. Kauniste fabrics are printed with solvent-free inks.
We believe good products begin with good partnerships. Many of our manufacturing partners have worked with us for years, and these long-standing relationships are an important part of how we make Kauniste products. Working closely together allows us to combine their manufacturing know-how with our ideas, patterns and colours.
Our birch veneer trays are made in Sweden from FSC®-certified wood sourced from Nordic forests. Designed for serving breakfast, coffee or a little fika at home, the trays are dishwasher safe and suitable for contact with food.
No water or solvents are used in the production process.
Our patterns and products are designed to live beyond a single season. Many Kauniste patterns stay in our collection for years, returning in new colours and finding their way onto different products. We believe that good design can become a familiar part of everyday life.
